The Moon Shadow Ruthless TechniqueMoonlit Inconstancy Technique (월영무정공, 月影無情功) is a formidable extreme yin technique that belongs to the demon arts. Traditionally, its mastery requires the absorption of yin energy from others, a gruesome practice. However, Jaha can utilize this technique without resorting to such evil methods due to the extreme yin energy harnessed from the Heavenly Jade.[1]

Upon encountering this technique, Moyong Baek, an individual of great discernment, was initially appalled by its inherent wickedness. However, Jaha's resilience against the wickedness prevalent in the martial arts world, coupled with the aid of the Heavenly Jade, allowed him to cultivate this technique without succumbing to its malevolent nature.

The usage of ice techniques is primarily associated with two individuals: Mong Yeon (Colorless Demon) and Lee Jaha. Unlike Jaha, who employs a variety of martial arts, Mongryeon specializes in ice techniques. This distinction proves particularly useful when Jaha adopts the alias "Mong Ryong" on occasion.

  • Residual Moon (잔월, 殘月): The initial stage of the Moon Shadow Ruthless Technique. Upon started cultivating, one immediately attains this level.[2]
  • Dark Moon (현월, 玄月): The realm achieved after consuming the Moon Flower Pill.
  • Full Moon (만월, 滿月): The final stage of the Moon Shadow Ruthless Technique. Unlike the Golden Bone Marrow Refining Technique, the Moon Shadow Ruthless Technique is not divided into distinct levels. In essence, the initial and ultimate stages represent the Foundation and Golden Bone stages, respectively. Initially, Jaha could not even dream of reaching this level. However, through the process of suppressing the Golden Bone Marrow Refining Technique's Heart Demon with the Moon Shadow Ruthless Technique, he attained the Full Moon stage.
    • Snow's Solitude (설의고독): This technique involves instantaneously dispersing the Moon Shadow Ruthless Technique's chilling energy in an explosive manner, freezing everything in the vicinity. It is a desperate measure aimed at the enemy's life. Once unleashed, even Jaha, the technique's wielder, becomes frozen along with the surroundings. Therefore, he devised a method to escape the freezing effect before anyone else and strike down the still-frozen enemy's neck.
